Position Overview
Watermark Design Group is seeking a highly experienced and accomplished Senior Architect with a minimum of 10 years of experience to lead complex architectural projects from conceptual design through construction administration.
This role combines exceptional design and technical expertise with strong leadership capabilities and a proven track record of successful project delivery. You will collaborate closely with clients to define project vision and scope, while mentoring and guiding junior team members.
This position offers the opportunity to influence firm-wide best practices, ensure technical excellence, and drive client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage architectural design for complex commercial, industrial, and municipal projects.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, innovative solutions.
Mentor and guide junior staff to foster professional development and growth.
Manage client relationships, project budgets, and schedules to ensure successful outcomes.
Oversee construction documentation and administration, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
Promote a culture of technical excellence, efficiency, and best practices across the firm.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Extensive architectural expertise across commercial, industrial, and municipal applications.
Strong technical proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and other relevant software.
Proven project management experience, including managing budgets, schedules, and client expectations.
Demonstrated leadership, team-building, and strategic thinking abilities.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and client relationship skills.
In-depth knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Licensed Architect.
Licensure in the State of Alabama is required, with the ability to obtain licenses in other states where Watermark practices.
