Join us as a Manufacturing Engineering intern and embark on a journey to invent the future of flight. This internship offers a tailored experience based on your academic background and interests:
Manufacturing Engineering Internship: In this engaging role, you'll develop a robust understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes, including vital areas such as new product integration, advanced technology applications, continuous improvement, and cost optimization. This internship serves as an excellent launchpad for those aspiring to join our Manufacturing Leadership Development Program (MEDP) or Operations Management Leadership Program (OMLP) post-graduation.
Essential Responsibilities
As part of our dynamic Manufacturing and Supply Chain teams, you will work in a vibrant environment backed by cutting-edge technology and a commitment to continuous improvement. Your contributions will include:

Dive into state-of-the-art manufacturing techniques and processes.

Support the manufacturing and repair operations for component hardware and overall engine assembly.

Uphold high-quality standards through risk assessments, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and the implementation of statistical controls.

Promote a safe work environment through Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) initiatives.
-
Learn and apply Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance productivity, timely delivery, process capability, and operational stability in our complex environment.

Assist in managing delivery schedules for sourced components, collaborating with our shops and suppliers while enhancing your project management and negotiation skills.
Qualifications/Requirements:
-
A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (no rounding).

Enrollment in a nationally accredited full-time undergraduate or graduate program (accepted majors listed below).

Able to work at any of the 35+ GE Aerospace U.S. locations.

Reliable transportation is necessary, as many of our sites are not accessible by public transport.

Benefits:
Starting pay for this position is $20/hour, with increases based on your academic progress. We also offer relocation support and housing assistance for those moving to a new city.
