Job description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Market Research : Conduct in-depth market research to understand the unique characteristics, trends, challenges, and opportunities within each vertical market. Analyze competitive landscape and identify key players.
  • Vertical Strategy Development : Develop comprehensive marketing strategies and plans for each vertical market, outlining goals, tactics, timelines, and budgets. Align strategies with overall company objectives.
  • Content Creation : Develop compelling marketing collateral, including case studies, whitepapers, blog posts, webinars, and presentations tailored to each vertical audience.
  • Campaign Execution : Plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns targeting specific vertical markets. Utilize various channels such as email, social media, events, webinars, and advertising to reach target audiences effectively.
  • Sales Enablement : Work closely with the sales team to develop sales enablement tools and resources, including vertical-specific messaging, presentations, and sales collateral. Provide training and support to ensure sales teams are equipped to effectively engage with vertical prospects and customers.
  • Lead Generation : Drive demand generation activities to generate high-quality leads within each vertical market. Collaborate with demand generation team to develop targeted campaigns and optimize lead acquisition channels.
  • Performance Measurement : Track and analyze key marketing metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of vertical marketing initiatives. Use data insights to optimize strategies and tactics for better results.
  • Relationship Management : Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within each vertical market, including customers, partners, industry influencers, and trade associations.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration : Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business development, engineering, sales, etc. to ensure alignment and integration of vertical marketing initiatives with overall company goals and objectives.
  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, with a focus on vertical or industry-specific marketing.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies for specific vertical markets.
  • Strong understanding of marketing principles, techniques, and best practices.
  • KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Working knowledge of graphic design, web dev, content dev, events, photo / video, project management, brand management & strategy development.
  • Must be literate in marketing production tools (Office, Adobe CS).
  • Must be able to navigate and work with web-based systems like project management tools, CMS, CRM (HubSpot background a plus).
  • Portfolio required.
  • WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with marketing automation platforms, CRM systems, and analytics tools.
  • Knowledge of mission critical fire protection code requirements (NFPA, FM, ULC, AHJ, etc.) preferred.
  • Up to 25% travel required.
