Job descriptionBachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (BSEE or equivalent acceptable). 3-5 years of experience in mechanical or electro-mechanical product design. Strong understanding of materials, mechanical systems, and electronics integration. Experience with analog and digital circuit design; PCB layout experience is a plus but not essential. Proficiency in embedded programming in C and / or assembly language. Familiarity with CAD and electronic design tools such as ORCAD, Altium Designer, or similar software. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and practical electronics knowledge. Strong communication abilities to effectively collaborate with team members and clients. Aerospace industry experience and certification knowledge are advantageous but not mandatory. The role involves a mix of office and manufacturing environments, with exposure to moderate noise and possible fumes on the factory floor. Occasional travel may be required to visit suppliers or customers. The position requires physical activity such as lifting components and working on-site at various facilities. Heavy computer use is typical throughout the workday.
We are seeking a talented Mechanical / Electro-Mechanical Engineer to join our innovative team. In this role, you will be integral to all phases of product development, from initial concept and design through testing, certification, and production. You will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, troubleshoot performance issues, and contribute to the creation of reliable, high-quality aerospace products. Key Responsibilities :
- Design and develop mechanical and electro-mechanical components and systems, ensuring compliance with project requirements from concept to manufacturing.
- Create detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and parts lists using industry-standard CAD tools.
- Conduct design reviews, problem-solving sessions, and concurrent engineering activities throughout the product lifecycle.
- Collaborate with electrical engineers to integrate mechanical systems with electronic hardware and software.
- Prepare and support qualification testing, certification processes, and ongoing product improvements.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for existing products, working closely with sales teams and customers to resolve complex issues.
- Identify opportunities for design optimization, cost reduction, and performance enhancement.
- Document design changes, test procedures, and technical reports in accordance with quality standards.
- Perform physical tasks such as lifting components up to 20 lbs., and occasionally standing, walking, or moving within the work environment.
