Primary Responsibilities
- Lead integration and deployment projects for cybersecurity tools across enterprise environments, including SIEM, DLP, and network security platforms.
- Oversee onboarding of relevant log sources and data feeds into SIEM platforms to support threat detection and incident response.
- Manage and optimize network security controls, including IDS/IPS tuning, firewall rule audits, and secure configuration of routers, switches, and wireless infrastructure.
- Collaborate with infrastructure and networking teams to implement network segmentation, secure remote access solutions, and enforce encryption standards.
- Analyze and tune network traffic and security event data to identify anomalies, policy violations, and potential threats.
- Lead configuration and optimization of the DLP program to protect sensitive data across endpoints, networks, and cloud environments.
- Evaluate and recommend security technologies to address emerging threats, business needs, and architectural changes.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for tool architecture, integration points, and network security baselines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to tool integration, data ingestion, and network security operations.
- Collaborate closely with the SOC team to enhance use cases, alerting logic, and incident response workflows across SIEM, DLP, and network security platforms.
- Mentor junior engineers on cybersecurity tool deployment, network security best practices, and integration strategies.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required, along with 2–8 years of experience in cybersecurity or a related field.
- Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python.
- Strong technical skills, including experience with cybersecurity solutions and network security controls.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, or a related field is preferred.
- Professional certification such as Security+, GSEC, CEH, or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
- Working knowledge of compliance standards and frameworks such as NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, ISO 27001, or GDPR.
- Experience with network security technologies including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and SIEM platforms.
- Familiarity with hybrid cloud environments, SaaS platforms, and enterprise IT systems.
Hybrid Remote Ohio
Crown offers mostly remote work for this position. A reasonable commute is necessary since some onsite work is required.
