Nuclear Medicine Physician Role Overview :
The Nuclear Medicine Physician provides comprehensive nuclear medicine services to veterans, ensuring continuity of care within a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Reporting to the Chief of Radiology, the provider is a key clinical member within the medical center.
The provider will be responsible for the assessment and care of new and returning patients requiring nuclear medicine procedures. Responsibilities include performing and interpreting nuclear medicine procedures, consultations, and follow-up care, both for inpatients and outpatients. The provider will also participate in multidisciplinary team conferences, quality improvement initiatives, and educational activities.
Responsibilities Include :
Veteran-Centered Care :
- Deliver comprehensive nuclear medicine services with an emphasis on health maintenance, disease prevention, patient education, and management of diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures.
- Promote shared decision-making with veterans and their families to achieve optimal health outcomes.
