Position Overview
Packer ensures that orders are packed securely and shipped out correctly and within cycle time.
This position works Monday through Friday 6AM-2:30pm.
What you'll do
- Complying with all facility safety rules and regulations.
- Reporting any unsafe practices and/or conditions to their supervisor.
- Wearing required personal protective equipment properly and reporting any defective PPE.
- Reporting all near misses, accidents, injuries or illnesses, including Musculoskeletal symptoms or disorders.
- Lifting is required.
- Some packages may weigh up to 70 lbs.
- You will be on the dock from time to time
Who you are?
- High school graduate
- Ability to use and read a tape measure
- General knowledge of fabrics
- Ability to use hand tools
- Successfully pass color blind test
- Regular attendance is required
- This job operates in a production environment
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
- Standing up to seven hours or more per shift
- Must be able to complete various activities that may require lifting or carrying in all directions
- Occasionally pushing / pulling while moving carts and buggies
- Occasionally ascends or descends ladders
- Frequently operating machinery and hand tools
- All other duties as assigned
