Job descriptionExcellent ability to be self-motivated and driven Strong ability to communicate effectively Strong ability to be organized and efficient Ability to utilize plant health care equipment including but not limited to spray rig, backpack sprayer, air spade, and other arboriculture equipment Ability to identify and diagnose ornamental tree and shrub issues Ability to identify hazardous situations Must be able to work 40 hours per week Must be able to work overtime and weekends, if necessary High School Diploma or GED Valid Driver's License Experience in plant health care application services, is preferred PA Pesticide Applicators License in CORE and CAT 6, is preferred Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs at one time, repeatedly throughout the day Must be able to bend, stoop, walk up steep hills while pushing or dragging equipment
The Plant Health Care Technician
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Complete daily assigned work in a timely, efficient manner
- Build professional and trusting relationships with clients
- Prepare truck daily by ensuring proper product selection and promotional materials
- Diagnose and treat a variety of common issues related to ornamental tree and shrubs
- Recommend treatments to clients to improve overall health of tree and shrubs
- Identify issues related to other Joshua Tree Experts provided services
- Provide excellent customer service to new and existing clients
- Operate all assigned equipment in a safe manner
- Complete daily truck inspections and identify needed maintenance services
- Perform basic maintenance to vehicles and equipment, notify Department Supervisor of needed repairs above and beyond technicians capabilities
- Complies with all safety rules and regulations regarding vehicles and equipment
- Complete all paperwork and product information accurately
- Meet or exceed daily production goals
- Meet or exceed performance goals, as assigned by Department Supervisor
- Perform other duties as assigned
