Project Manager – Commercial Construction

Founded in 1967, Burdick Painting is one of Northern California’s largest and most respected commercial painting contractors. We specialize in high-performance paint and coatings for complex environments — including auto dealerships, high-tech campuses, hospitals, universities, retail, and defense.
We operate with the discipline, speed, and systems of a tech company — but we execute in paint, coatings, and craftsmanship. Our repeat clients and reputation for reliability are built on decades of performance and innovation.
About the Role
As a Project Manager , you’ll be responsible for generating sales , building long-term client relationships , and managing painting projects from bid to close-out . You will oversee all financial and operational aspects of each project, including estimating, budgeting, strategic planning, financial negotiation, and customer communication.
We’re looking for someone who’s not only sharp with attention to detail and organization, but also great with people and thrives in a fast-moving, high-accountability environment.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare accurate and detailed commercial painting estimates
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously with a focus on budget, timeline, and quality
- Maintain project schedules and assign labor / resources efficiently
- Track financials, manage billing, and handle change orders proactively
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships through excellent communication and service
- Visit job sites regularly for estimating, progress tracking, and quality control
- Work collaboratively with field supervisors, clients, vendors, and internal departments
- Develop strategies and problem solve to achieve maximum efficiency and project success
