Description
The Department of Psychological Sciences of Loyola University New Orleans invites applications for a tenure track appointment at the Assistant Professor level beginning August 2026.
Examples of Duties
The selected applicant will teach three courses per semester, typically two sections of Social Psychology and some combination of Theories of Personality, Introduction to Psychology, Introduction to Research, Statistics and Methods, or a course in their areas of specialization. Online teaching experience is beneficial, as some courses might be offered in the University's online programs. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching, and in addition to teaching, will be expected to advise undergraduate students, supervise undergraduate research in areas of expertise, participate in governance at the department, college, and university levels, and maintain an active research program that engages undergraduate students.
Typical Qualifications
PhD required although ABDs will be considered.
Applicants should possess expertise in Social Psychology.
Physical Requirements
