The Opportunity
Privately owned, progressive hospital with a strong community reputation
Fear Free–focused environment with support for further Fear Free certification and training
Opportunity to focus predominantly on consultations and appointments, with surgery optional
Potential exposure to exotics alongside small animal medicine (interest desirable but not essential)
Busy, recently refurbished and well-equipped hospital with a diverse caseload
Excellent 3.5 : 1 Vet Tech to DVM ratio
Long-term partnership opportunities available after 2–3 years for the right candidate
Schedule & Flexibility
Full-time preferred : 4 × 10-hour days (40 hours per week)
Shift times : 8 : 00am–6 : 00pm , with a 1-hour lunch break
Alternate Saturdays required (8 : 00am–6 : 00pm)
If a Saturday is worked, a midweek day off is provided (never more than 4 days per week worked)
Essential Applicant Attributes
Licensed or eligible to receive a Texas State Veterinary Licence (DVM)
Minimum 2 years’ clinical experience , with the ability to work sole charge / solo if required
Confident managing 30-minute appointments
Strong commitment to delivering exceptional, high-quality, personalised care
Enthusiastic about working in a Fear Free hospital environment and willing to undertake additional training as required
Desirable Attributes
Interest in seeing both small animal and exotics (not essential if preferring small animal only)
Previous experience in a high-quality, Fear Free private practice setting
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary : Negotiable, expected range $120,000–$150,000
Option to work on :
Salary-only basis, or
Salary + production bonus (structure negotiable based on preference)
Quarterly team bonus provided
Sign-on and relocation bonuses potentially negotiable (not guaranteed)
4 weeks PTO plus public holidays
CE allowance and CE PTO – negotiable
Private healthcare and dental insurance provided
Free on-site parking
