Job description
Responsibilities
Under the leadership of the Director / Lead Engineer, responsible for accomplishing minor corrective maintenance, additions, and alterations to the Hospital Physical Plant, including typical mechanical and electrical plant systems. Tasks include re-lamping and door control adjustments. Responsible for completing and recording minor physical and mechanical plant work order requests as assigned. Corrective repairs aim to restore buildings and equipment to their normal condition and include minor office equipment repairs, housekeeping and nursing support equipment repairs, minor carpentry, and electrical work such as replacing patient area light bulbs.
Qualifications
Three to five years of maintenance experience in a building trade setting, military, or related field.
Ability to operate and maintain typical maintenance tools for general utility maintenance is desirable.
Knowledge of proper and safe use of hand and power tools. Basic understanding of building systems such as door hardware, ceiling systems, carts, shelving, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
