Job Summary and Qualifications The Radiology Technologist operates standard, portable, and specialized X-ray equipment to perform routine and semi-complex radiographic examinations used by physicians for diagnosis and treatment. What you will do in this role : You will prepare patients for radiological procedures and take x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety. You will develop and process films and transmit to a Radiologist for interpretation. You will administer contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations. You will ensure prompt transfer of images and documents to PACS system (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data / history). You will turn over and prepare room using aseptic technique between patients and clean / sterilize equipment. You will follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines. What qualifications you will need : State Registered Radiologic Technician with 1 years of acute / inpatient experience Registered Radiographer (ARRT) Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor, or Certificate, or Vocational School Graduate must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date Medical City Plano opened in 1975 and provides Plano and Collin County with advanced health care.
