Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Junior Cybersecurity Engineer to support the NNSA in protecting the nation’s nuclear security infrastructure. This is a remote, contract to hire opportunity based out of Las Vegas, Nevada for early-career professionals with active high-level clearances to gain experience in real-world deployments, troubleshooting, and tool integration on multi-million-dollar contracts. As a Junior Cybersecurity Engineer , you'll assist in building and securing critical infrastructure for federal SOC and engineering environments.

Responsibilities for the Junior Cybersecurity Engineer include :

• Deploy and integrate cybersecurity tools and technologies to support real-world mission-critical systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve security issues, ensuring compliance with federal security standards and frameworks.
• Support automation and scripting tasks to enhance security operations and streamline deployments.
• Assist in designing, implementing, and maintaining security infrastructure for federal SOC and engineering environments.

Required qualifications for the role include :

Clearance : Active “Q” or Top Secret (TS) Clearance (must be current and transferable).

○ Strong understanding of network and system security.

○ Proficiency in scripting and automation.

○ Experience with security tools and technologies.
