Salon Assistant Position at Sharkey's Cuts for Kids

Sharkey's Cuts for Kids - Bristow, VA, is looking for an upbeat and friendly Salon Assistant to work Saturdays and Sundays. Relaxed staff in a fun and fast paced environment.

Job responsibilities include:

• Shampoo clients, occasionally blow dry, and paint nails
• Assist stylists to allow for smooth transitions during the work day
• Vacuum sanitize and prepare salon chairs for new clients throughout the day.
• Sweep, clean, laundry, fold towels

Other Responsibilities may include:

• Must have a passion for being around kids and client service
• Possess strong interpersonal, verbal communication, and listening skills
• Ability to be flexible and adapt to business needs
• Reliable and available to work weekends
• Assist with other salon maintenance and some light receptionist duties, as required.

Salon Assistant Qualifications:

• Positive and can do attitude!
• Reliability, timeliness, and consistency.
• Prior salon experience is a plus.
• Ability to interact with kids and their parents in a friendly manner

Requirements:

• Customer service experience
• Wear a smile and be available on weekends
• Cosmetology license optional
