Star Staffing is partnering with a growing global manufacturer in the advanced composites industry to hire a Quality Engineer I for their Fairfieldfacility. This is an excellent opportunity for a quality professional looking to grow their career in a highly regulated manufacturing environment serving aerospace and industrial markets.

The Quality Engineer I will support quality management systems, manufacturing quality processes, and continuous improvement initiatives while helping ensure products meet customer, industry, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Support and maintain quality management systems and quality assurance processes.
Interpret and communicate quality requirements across manufacturing and cross-functional teams.
Develop and track quality metrics to ensure compliance with customer, company, and regulatory standards.
Participate in process audits, capability assessments, and process validation activities.
Support supplier quality initiatives and manufacturing readiness efforts.
Investigate non-conformances and analyze trends to identify improvement opportunities.
Evaluate and disposition non-conforming materials through established quality processes.
Recommend and implement corrective and preventive actions to improve product and process quality.
Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, or a related technical field preferred.
Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
Minimum 3 years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment; composites or aerospace experience highly preferred.
Knowledge of AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 quality standards preferred.
Experience with root cause analysis, corrective actions, audits, and quality systems.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
