Summary:
Seeking an experienced cross‑platform DBA to design, secure, and operate SQL Server/Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB environments. Role includes performance tuning, automation, database lifecycle management, cloud/on‑prem migrations, and maintaining strict ITAR compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Core DBA
• Monitor, tune, and maintain database performance, availability, and security.
• Manage backups, restores, and disaster recovery processes.
• Automate routine operations and maintenance tasks.
• Provide production support and participate in on‑call rotations.
SQL Server & Azure SQL
• Design and operate SQL Server/Azure SQL databases and support cloud migrations.
• Handle performance tuning, Agent jobs, replication, and patching.
PostgreSQL
• Create/manage schemas, indexes, roles, and DB objects.
• Perform maintenance, tuning, capacity planning, and issue resolution.
MongoDB
• Design clusters, sharding strategies, and performance optimization.
• Support deployments, upgrades, configuration, and automation.
ITAR & Security Compliance
• Enforce access controls, RBAC, encryption, and auditing for ITAR‑regulated data.
• Ensure compliant backup, replication, migrations, and data residency.
• Support ITAR audits, documentation, and evidence collection.
Qualifications
• U.S. Person (ITAR requirement).
• 8–10 years SQL Server DBA experience + 4+ years Azure SQL.
• Strong PostgreSQL administration experience.
• Strong MongoDB architecture and operations experience.
• Expertise in performance tuning, automation, DR, and production support.
