Position Description:

Join our compassionate home care team as a Personal Care Aide, where you will work under the supervision of the Office Manager and Administrator, providing essential personal care services tailored to meet our clients' needs. As a key team member, you will observe clients and their responses to care, documenting and reporting your observations. Your role will involve maintaining a strong communication with your supervisor to ensure that we deliver high-quality care that positively impacts our clients.

Position Responsibilities:

• Deliver client care as directed by the assigned supervisor.
• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, toileting, dressing, feeding, continence, mobility, and transfers.
• Support with Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs), such as food preparation, housekeeping, laundry, and medication management.
• Measure and document physiological signs, including temperature, pulse, respirations, blood pressure, height, and weight.
• Encourage client mobility to prevent skin breakdown and reposition clients unable to move independently.
• Report any noticeable changes in clients' physical, mental, or emotional conditions to your supervisor.
• Perform light housekeeping, meal preparation, and clean-up as needed.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and Universal Precautions.
• Engage in performance improvement activities to enhance care quality.
• Uphold the rights of clients, ensuring privacy, dignity, confidentiality, and the right to accept or refuse care.
• Respond quickly and appropriately to emergency situations.
• Utilize equipment safely and effectively.
• Demonstrate empathy and care in recognizing and addressing the client's needs.
• Follow time and attendance protocols and adhere to the assigned work schedule.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
