Job Title : Instructional Aide (Paraprofessional)

Qualifications :

• High school graduate or equivalent / 2 Years of College
• Previous experience dealing with young children or a proven ability to work with children or a proven ability to work with children.
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

Reports to : Teacher and Principal

Job Goal : To assist the teacher achieve teaching objectives by working with individual students or small groups to help them achieve the skill levels of the class as a whole.

Performance Responsibilities :

Terms of Employment : Salary and work year to be established by the Board. Salary in adherence and compliance with approved salary schedule.

Evaluation : Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Support Services Personnel.
