We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible clinical child & adolescent or pediatric psychologist to join the robust team of Behavioral Health providers (psychologists, psychiatrists, psychiatric APPs, and LMSW psychotherapists) at Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital (HDVCH).
This is an opportunity for a highly motivated psychologist to join established outpatient multidisciplinary teams and also develop individual areas of practice based on their interests and departmental needs.
Opportunities for this could include developmental testing (including with an interdisciplinary Autism Assessment Clinic or other developmental clinic), general outpatient psychological testing, brief psychological consultants, or providing psychotherapy for a variety of different pediatric behavioral and mental health concerns.
Specialty clinics with current requests for additional pediatric psychology support include : sleep medicine, gender care, neurology, and neurodevelopmental.

Full psychometry support for testing
Opportunities for both in-person and telehealth services, with opportunity for report writing virtually from home / other location
Ability to tailor outpatient testing and therapy caseload to specialty area and preference

Essential Functions
- Performs diagnostic examinations of the patient’s intellectual and psychological functioning and adjustments to the disability / illness within 24 hours of receipt of consult.
- Collaborates with the patient, physician, and members of the multidisciplinary team to develop treatment plans and goals consistent with the needs of the patient.
- Performs individual and group treatment interventions in a manner, which meets the standards of the profession and changing needs of the patient.
- Documents plans, interventions and patient’s response / involvement according to standards.
- Identifies and documents discharge plans which meet the needs of the patient and are consistent with resources available.
- Participates in ongoing quality monitoring, policy review, and process improvement activities related to Psychology services.
- Maintains updated knowledge of rules, regulations, and standards in the field of psychology and related matters of interest.
- Ensures that patients, their families, visitors, customers, and employees are treated with kindness and respect. Demonstrates teamwork and integrity in all work-related activities.

Qualifications
- Required Doctorate , PsyD or EdD in psychology
- Experience working in an organization of a size and complexity comparable to Spectrum Health. Preferred
- LIC-Psychologist - STATE MI State of Michigan required
- CRT-Board Cert Clinical Psychology (BC-CP) - UNKNOWN Unknown preferred
