Child Care Site Director
This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The School Age Child Care (SACC) Site Director plans, directs, and supervises the site activities at an assigned location of the SACC Program within the South Sound YMCA. South Sound YMCA operates SACC sites in the following school districts : Olympia, Tumwater, Lacey, Shelton.

Essential functions include supervising staff / volunteers to provide a safe and healthy environment and a quality program; maintaining cooperative, supporting relationships with children, parents / guardians, school and other YMCA staff; maintaining program operations and facility in accordance with all state licensing regulations and YMCA requirements; and attending required trainings and staff meetings.
Leadership competencies include critical thinking & decision making, engaging community, program / project management, and inclusion.
Qualifications include a positive, friendly and enthusiastic attitude that enjoys working with people of all backgrounds; being 21 years of age; having completed 12 credit hours of college level educationally related course work or equivalent as determined by state licensor; possessing at least two years of experience working with children; meeting and maintaining training standard set by STARs for Washington state; possessing a reliable vehicle, approvable driving record, and proof of current car insurance; and being able to work at all of the school age childcare sites.
The work environment and physical demands include sufficient strength, agility and mobility to perform essential functions and to supervise program activities; frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance, stoop, kneel, and talk and hear; and occasionally lift and / or move up to 40 pounds.
