Systems Administrator – LogicMonitor & Observability
Location: White Plains, NY
Pay Rate: $60/hour
Role Summary
We are seeking a skilled LogicMonitor & Observability Administrator to support monitoring and observability across hybrid and cloud environments. This role is responsible for administering the LogicMonitor platform, implementing observability best practices, and partnering closely with infrastructure and application teams to ensure system performance, reliability, and availability.
The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise along with the ability to gather requirements, provide recommendations, and help teams optimize their monitoring strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Administer, configure, and optimize the LogicMonitor platform, including collectors, dashboards, alerting policies, and reporting.
Implement monitoring for servers, network devices, cloud resources, and applications using LogicMonitor data sources and custom integrations.
Collaborate with infrastructure, application, network, and security teams to assess monitoring coverage and validate performance and availability metrics.
Assist teams with configuration changes to improve monitoring accuracy and effectiveness.
Design and maintain alert thresholds, escalation paths, and notification policies to ensure timely issue response.
Automate monitoring tasks and alerting workflows using PowerShell, Groovy, Bash, and LogicMonitor APIs.
Configure and manage third-party integrations and vendor monitoring modules, including ServiceNow Service Graph Connector, VMware, Dell, and others.
Build and maintain dashboards and reports tailored for both technical and business stakeholders.
Analyze monitoring data, identify trends, and recommend improvements to enhance system reliability and performance.
Track all monitoring-related activities in ServiceNow and provide regular status updates to the internal monitoring team.
