• Compensation : Based on experience (Negotiable)\n\nPosition Summary\n\nThe Registered Nurse (RN) in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) provides direct patient care to critically ill adult patients requiring complex assessment, high-intensity therapies, and continuous monitoring. The RN is responsible for delivering evidence-based nursing care, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team, and ensuring the highest level of patient safety and outcomes in a fast-paced, technologically advanced ICU environment.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n
• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in accordance with established hospital protocols and nursing standards.\n
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.\n
• Administer medications, manage ventilators, and monitor hemodynamic parameters.\n
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals.\n
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, procedures, and ongoing care needs.\n
• Respond promptly to emergency situations using advanced critical care techniques.\n
• Maintain accurate documentation of all patient care activities.\n
• Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and professional development.\n\nRequired Qualifications & Requirements\n
• Experience : Minimum 1 year of recent Acute Care RN experience (within the last 3 years).\n
• Prefer experience in higher-acuity settings (e.g., Stepdown, ICU).\n
• Strong Med / Surg RNs will be considered.\n
• Licensure : \n
• Active Florida RN license or approved multistate (compact) RN license required.\n
• Compact license holders must obtain a Florida license within 60 days of relocation.\n
• Education : Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.\n
• Certifications : \n
• Basic Life Support (BLS – AHA) – must be obtained within 30 days of start date.\n
