Staff Accountant Opportunity

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Vista, California. This role involves managing financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards while supporting key functions such as Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment and demonstrate strong analytical skills to maintain accurate and reliable financial data.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices and payments, ensuring proper approvals and documentation.
• Generate and issue customer invoices, following up on overdue payments to maintain cash flow.
• Perform monthly reconciliation of bank accounts and ensure accuracy in financial records.
• Prepare and post journal entries during month-end closing activities, supported by thorough documentation.
• Maintain and update reconciliations for various balance sheet accounts to ensure consistency.
• Assist in collecting required documentation for annual financial audits and compliance reviews.
• Develop and document procedures and instructions for assigned accounting tasks.
• Lead process improvement initiatives within assigned areas to enhance efficiency.
• Handle ad-hoc accounting projects and other duties as assigned.
