CNC Machinist

Job Description

We are seeking skilled CNC machinists or operators for our large machine shop located in Santa Ana. The role involves working on the 1st shift from 5 am to 1 : 30 pm. We require expertise in setting up and operating CNC lathes or mills, with a focus on short to mid-run production. Experience with Haas or Mori Mill machines is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes or mills according to established procedures and guidelines.
• Read and interpret blueprints, including geometric dimensioning and tolerances.
• Secure machines and parts for work.
• Adjust machine settings to meet specific requirements and tolerances.
• Implement instructions and programs using independent judgment.
• Plan and accomplish tasks effectively while potentially leading the work of others.
• Participate in and provide continuous training for all machines and tooling.
• Maintain and track all parts and tooling required for machine production, including repair and cleaning.
• Complete all necessary operations and record them on shop routers as required.

Work Environment

The work environment is a bustling CNC machine shop with approximately 15-20 CNC lathes and additional machines being installed. The shift starts at 5 am and involves 8-hour shifts from Monday to Friday. Technologies include Okuma and Doosan lathes, as well as Haas CNC mills.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Santa Ana, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00 / hr.
