Procurement Manager - High Voltage at Qcells EPC in Irvine, CA. Hybrid work status. Supervisor : Director of Procurement. FLSA : Exempt. Position : Permanent, Full-time.
Qcells USA specializes in utility-scale modules, solar PV, and battery energy storage systems (BESS) project development, along with EPC services for solar and BESS projects nationwide. This role will own one or more major procurement categories related to high-voltage electrical substations and equipment, and will collaborate with engineering, project management, construction, legal, and finance to ensure cost-effective, timely procurement with risk mitigation.
Salary & Location
Base pay range : $125,000.00 / yr - $155,000.00 / yr. Location : Irvine, CA. Travel up to 20% may be required.
Essential Job Function & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to optimize the procurement of materials and / or services.
- Manage relationships with key suppliers in alignment with the Company's strategic goals.
- Manage the RFx process, including :
Prepare RFIs & RFPs to qualified suppliers, coordinating with other functions to gather required documents and data
Determine and maintain bid schedules by project schedulesCoordinate responses to bidder questionsReview, compare, and evaluate supplier proposals with pricing data to ensure cost-competitive pricing and identify savings opportunitiesLead commercial negotiations for High-Voltage Equipment Supply Agreements and project ordersCoordinate with the team and Director of Procurement (HV) to align with portfolio strategyIncorporate knowledge of utility-scale renewable complexities into RFP / contracting strategies (e.g., safe-harbor needs, domestic content, IRA timing)Manage change order processes for suppliers and related contract management tasks; mentor Procurement SpecialistsEnsure prime contract flow-downs are included in subcontracts as neededMonitor supplier compliance with contract terms and project requirementsSupport Project Management Team with contract information to resolve supplier issuesEvaluate vendor performance and develop improvement processesMaintain accurate purchasing records and track market data for leadership updatesIdentify, qualify, and onboard new vendorsRegular attendance as required by policyPerforms other duties and special projects as assignedRequired Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree requiredMinimum 5 – 7 years of experience in Contract Management and / or ProcurementMinimum 3 – 4 years of experience in utility-scale solar / renewable energy and / or large-scale construction projectsExperience leading capital equipment purchasing, contract management, and change order managementPreferred experience implementing strategic sourcing initiativesAbility to work autonomously in a fast-paced environmentStrong prioritization, organizational, and communication skillsExperience in cross-functional collaboration and supplier relationship managementProficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Procore and SAP or ability to quickly learn new systemsAble to identify, investigate, and solve problems promptlyPhysical Demands & Work Environment

The salary range is $125,000 - $155,000 base per year for Irvine, CA. Additional bonus structure and benefits may apply depending on level and position.
