Caregiver - Washington DC
Job Summary
Caregiver at Visiting Angels Largo has several caregiver positions available throughout Prince George's County. This individual contributor role is responsible for providing a high level of professional and compassionate in-home care services to our clients.
In this important role, you will serve as the reliable link between our clients and the Visiting Angels team.
Compensation & Benefits
This is a part-time hourly position with competitive pay and benefits package to include : Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401K.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate and professional assistance with a variety of non-medical activities and tasks to clients in their own homes, including bathing, dressing, meal preparation, light housekeeping, errands, medication reminders, and emotional support.
- Track all daily visits in completion of accurate and thorough documentation and provide feedback to Visiting Angels management for each case.
- Provide social engagement.
- Reliable, responsible, and dependable in client visits as scheduled.
Requirements
CNA / CMT license required
- High School Diploma / GED
- CPR in person or online certification
- Minimum of one year of experience providing care to clients within home health care or in-home care setting
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Demonstrated ability to work professionally and compassionately with elderly clients
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Valid driver’s license and reliable method of transportation
- Quick problem-solving abilities and excellent organizational skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
