Employees in this role perform advanced maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on inverters, trackers, energy storage systems, high voltage systems, control systems and other associated equipment.
Individuals understand the solar and energy storage mechanisms, including both electrical and maintenance of inverters, of all solar and energy storage components.
This position replaces mechanical and electrical components, understands schematics and controls systems and uses appropriate diagnostic tools.
The successful candidate will interpret fault reports, maintain power generation reports, service logs in the computer database, and monitor inverter and energy storage systems performance and SCADA systems.
Employees will support a portfolio of projects across the region, to include TX, OK, LA, and AR. The ideal candidate will be based in the region to support the travel schedule.
This position requires 100% travel availability.
Additional duties and responsibilities include-
- Performs regular preventative maintenance and repair on solar and energy storage power generation equipment
- Completes advanced electrical, electronic, and mechanical troubleshooting
- Maintains all company supplied equipment, facilities, and tooling
- Applies advanced understanding of the technical and process functions including leadership competencies
- Serves as a safety champion for the fleet
- Coaches new technicians on safety, solar and energy storage systems
- Serves as qualified reliever in the absence of site management
- Leads teams in Quality Improvement (QI) projects
- Provides oversight to other personnel and acts as a Safety Mentor
- Completes special projects or complex task assignments
- Ability to meet attendance requirements

Job Overview
This role performs advanced maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs on solar and energy storage assets and associated equipment.
Individuals understand the process and functionality of all electrical components associated with solar inverters, battery management systems, fire protection systems, air conditioning systems, supervisory control and data acquisition systems, control networks and programable logic controllers.
Individuals will be a subject matter expert in proper utilization of electrical safe work practices. This position will also be a regional electrical safe work practices subject matter expert and provide coaching to other technicians on electrical safe work practices.

Required Qualifications
- High School Grad / GED
- Experience : 4+ years
- Valid Driver's License (NON CDL)

- Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certified
- Six Sigma Green Belt Certified
