SUMMARY :
The Account Development Representative manages all direct and indirect selling activities within an assigned territory consisting of distributors, strategic partners, prospects, and current customers. The ideal candidate for this position will have a deep understanding of the armor and protection needs in the market. The candidate must be an effective sales leader, a self-starter who takes initiative and works with limited direction, and a highly trusted individual who maintains and expects high standards. This is a remote position based in the Eastern United States.
Major Responsibilities :
- Develop and maintain excellent customer and distributors relationships in order to grow the business by understanding customer opportunities, needs, requirements, buying processes, and the competitive landscape.
- Achieve customer retention goals and follow- up with consumers as required to close sales and meet / exceed revenue goals.
- Develop sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential customers; scheduling discovery calls; building rapport; providing information.
- Achieve at least 4 hours of daily phone time and 50 verifiable outbound phone calls per day. Capture relevant information identified about the potential customer into company’s CRM or call tracking sheet.
- Establish relationships with Territory Managers, Operations, R&D, and other sales support functions to maximize the full potential of every opportunity.
- Establish and maintain quality customer relationships by delivering exceptional customer service, establishing rapport, identifying, and exceeding customer needs and expectations.
- Acquire in-depth industry and company knowledge in order to articulate product features, benefits, pricing and make recommendations to include core and innovation products.
- Maintain consumer prospect lists / contact database to assess client purchasing trends; proactively and consistently seek opportunities to promote and sell products based on client purchase history.
- Provide regular and efficient updates on assigned accounts to sales management including accurate and timely sales.
- When needed, set appointments for territory managers with new and existing customers within the assigned territory.
- Attend and actively participate in team meetings or relevant sales training to ensure appropriate sales techniques are being used and accurate information is being communicated to customers.
Qualifications :
2+ years of Inside Sales experience with a demonstrated track record of success in driving customer engagement and satisfaction.BA / BS Degree in business preferred.Experience selling to Public Sector and Distributors.Ability to identify new and existing opportunities through basic consultative selling methodology.Knowledge of CRM and opportunity management systems preferably Salesforce.com.Strong phone presence and experience dialing at least 50 calls per day.Knowledge in developing sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts; soliciting new accounts; building rapport; providing product information and explanations.Proven ability to communicate effectively in presentations via telephone and email with customers is required.Working knowledge and proficiency in computer skills, including MS Office Suite (e.g., Outlook for email, Excel to track metrics, Word and PowerPoint to create documents, and presentations).Work Environment :
This job is done in both an office setting and at other remote locations. Occasional travel to Armor Express customer sites within the assigned territory is expected.
