Our client, an  international   AmLaw 100   law firm , is seeking a skilled   Associate Attorney  to join its  Labor & Employment Practice  in  Los Angeles . This is an exciting opportunity for a mid-level associate to handle complex employment litigation and counseling matters while working alongside a highly regarded team of practitioners in a dynamic and collegial environment.

Candidate Profile

JD  from a  top-tier law school  with a  strong academic record

Active Bar Admission in California,  in good standing

4-6 years  of substantive  labor and employment law  experience, preferably in a  large law firm  setting

JD Class of 2019-2021

Extensive deposition   experience  and experience  arguing motions in court

Experience  drafting  litigation -related  documents  and  handling discovery

Ability to  communicate  and  negotiate  with  opposing counsel  efficiently and professionally

Highly proficient in  running cases   independently

Trial  experience and  class action / PAGA  experience  strongly preferred

Strong analytical, research, and legal writing skills, along with demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, and a client-service mindset

Key Responsibilities

Represent clients in  labor and employment litigation , including  class action  and  PAGA  matters

Take  and  defend depositions  and engage in  motion practice

Draft discovery  and other litigation-related documents, including  memoranda ,  briefs ,  motions , and  pleadings

Participate  in  trials  and contribute to  trial preparation

Communicate  and  negotiate  directly with  opposing counsel

Independently progress employment law cases  from inception through resolution

Collaborate  with colleagues across practice groups to  deliver comprehensive ,  client-focused legal solutions

Develop  and  maintain strong client relationships  through effective communication and responsiveness

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive Salary :  Annual base salary is expected to range from  $310,000 - $390,000 , depending on experience, qualifications, and market factors

Discretionary  bonus  opportunities are also available
