Design Drafter
Summary :
The Design Drafter creates designs and blueprints along with a team of other engineers and drafters using software and making modifications as needed to various projects that MPI / CCS may be engaged in.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Creates and designs blueprints for Ag and light commercial projects and / or
- Ensure building systems are functional, reliable, and safe and identify problems if any
- Participate in site visits
- Consulting with clients on building projects as needed
- Testing and evaluating building systems
- All other duties assigned
Qualifications : Education :
Education :
High School Diploma or GED and / or Technical College
Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Drafting, Engineering, or relevant field of study preferred
Experience :
0-1 years of experience in drafting, engineering, or relevant field in the construction industry.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
- Computer skills
- Strong working knowledge of CAD or engineering software
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Problem solving and organizational skills, including time management, delegation, prioritization, and multitasking
- Work independently with little direction
- Work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines
- Must be able to establish good working relationship with many individuals
Physical Requirements :
- Exposure to characteristic construction site danger if on job site
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift or move 20 pounds
