Benefits and HRIS Spec, PO
Job Summary
The Benefits and HRIS Specialist at Physician Organization will be responsible to :
Benefits :
- Assist PO Benefits & HRIS team in admin of benefit plans in compliance with plan documents and contracts
- Perform PO Benefits day-to-day operational activities including coordination and communication with external benefit vendors.
Assist Sr. PO Benefits and HRIS Analyst / Team Leader with monthly departmental invoices preparation
- Perform monthly carrier invoices reconciliation and prepare invoices for payment approval
- Process benefits changes with accuracy and maintain records necessary for implementing, changing, and / or terminating coverage.
Maintain accurate recordkeeping for all changes
- Assist PO HR Team with maintaining accurate and current information on plan participants, services, and costs
- Assist with annual enrollment process including planning, preparation, and communications in conjunction with PO Benefits & HRIS Team needs
- Works with PO Benefits & HRIS Team in matters related to employee benefits orientation, inquiries, and problem resolution
HRIS :
- Support staff in the entry of employee data into the HRIS system. Ensure the integrity of employee data from a position management, compensation, and benefits perspective
- Respond to incoming to PO HR Box requests from supervisors / managers regarding employee information and employee change processing
- Assist with internal and external communication about enhancements to the automated HRIS systems. Test enhancements programmed as needed
- Work with PO Benefits & HRIS Team to support Foundation needs for HRIS system attributes. Engage in special projects and the integration of workflow activities.
Assist with preparation and testing cases of new apps
- Assist with HRIS benefit questions and processes. Run and send periodic audits and benefit / HR files to vendors.
- Assist with identification of programming problems related to the HRIS system
To qualify, you must have :
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business administration, human resources, finance or a closely related field and min 1 year experience with understanding of benefits plan design, HRIS and health and welfare programs administration and compliance is required.
- Advanced Excel skills and 1 year of ADP Workforce Now experience is preferred
- General understanding of main federal and state regulations and compliance requirements, including ACA, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Section 125, and DOL requirements
- Analytical skills to resolve complex problems requiring the use of scientific, mathematical, or technical principles and HRIS knowledge.
Ability to manage multiple initiatives and projects. Fosters strong relationships with peers and leaders
