Purchasing Manager.
The Purchasing Manager is responsible for overseeing the procurement of all materials, supplies, equipment, and services utilized by the company. This role requires strategic vendor negotiations, policy enforcement, and continuous improvement of sourcing practices to ensure cost efficiency and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Negotiate contracts with vendors to secure competitive pricing, favorable terms, and reliable service levels.
- Develop, implement, and maintain purchasing policies and procedures to ensure compliance across the organization.
- Identify and cultivate new supplier relationships to address gaps in current vendor capabilities.
- Review and evaluate vendor proposals, making informed decisions on contract awards.
- Establish and manage blanket purchase orders when appropriate, monitoring costs and performance throughout the contract duration.
- Verify purchase requisitions for proper authorization and accurate accounting codes.
- Coordinate with the receiving department to confirm timely and accurate delivery of goods.
- Investigate and resolve issues related to delayed or incomplete shipments.
- Ensure adherence to environmental, safety, and regulatory standards, including compliance with U.S. laws.
- Uphold corporate standards for ethical conduct and safety in all procurement activities.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by S&S Worldwide.

Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience (preferred).Minimum of five years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or a related buying role.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.NetSuite a plusEnsure adherence to environmental, safety, and regulatory standards, including compliance with U.S. laws.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively both in person and over the phone.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.Job Posted by ApplicantPro
