The opportunity to create a lasting positive impact on youth within your community.  Role Overview :   The Events Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing a wide range of events under the supervision of the Director of Special Projects.  This role focuses on leading and implementing high-quality events, tournaments and meaningful experiences for students in expanded learning and community programs.  In addition, the Events Manager will oversee all field trips and Field Trip Coordinators.  Responsibilities :   Team Management : Directly oversee the Field Trip Coordinators, providing guidance, support and professional development.  Lead event planning for all Signature Agency Events, partner events, and other opportunities, creating detailed event plans, timelines, and budgets.  Oversee event logistics and coordination, source and manage venues, coordinate staffing, and order supplies and materials.  Oversee event set-up, breakdown, and on-site operations.  Work closely with the Sports Program Manager, Sports Coordinators, and Field Trip Coordinators to execute Signature Agency Events.  Communicate regularly and effectively with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment.  Collaborate with the marketing team to promote events through digital, print, and social media channels, ensuring consistent branding across all event materials.  Create event collateral and / or signage.  Manage event registration, invitations, and attendee and staff communications.  Ensure all events comply with health, safety and legal regulations, and develop contingency plans for potential disruptions or emergencies.  Conduct post-event debriefs and gather feedback from stakeholders and utilize this information to recommend improvements for future events.  Participate in trainings, workshops, and professional development opportunities.  Develop and maintain an annual events calendar in collaboration with program and development teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals.  Vendor relations :  Source, negotiate, and manage vendor contracts to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.  Track event participation metrics, outcomes, and feedback to measure success and inform future planning.  Uphold Woodcraft Rangers’ mission and values in all interactions.  Other duties as assigned.  Qualifications :   Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in event management, business, hospitality or communications.  Two to five years of experience planning events, ideally in a youth or expanded learning setting.  At least 2 years of experience managing personnel.  Demonstrated ability to support lead event logistics, planning, and coordination.  Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.  Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends, as needed.  Skills :   Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and timelines.  Precision in planning logistics, managing timelines and ensuring quality control.  Capable of leading cross-functional teams and managing staff or volunteers.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Ability to work with diverse teams and stakeholders.  Ability to troubleshoot, adapt, and provide solutions in a fast-paced environment.  Commitment to creating inclusive and safe environments for all youth.  Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, Canva.  Focused on delivering exceptional attendee experiences.  Skilled in handling feedback and resolving concerns professionally.  Physical Demands :   In compliance with the Americans with Woodcraft Rangers programs are implemented, including San Fernando Valley, South Los Angeles, West Los Angeles, San Gabriel Valley, Southeast LA, and Downtown areas, to support or deliver in-person training or events.  Exposure to indoor and outdoor weather conditions as part of event delivery.  Typical noise level of office settings.  Regular exposure to computer monitor(s) during work.  Stable internet access is required for effective work-from-home performance.  Status :  Full-time; Exempt  Salary Range :  $70,304 - $83,790 per year, depending on experience.  Location :
