JOB DESCRIPTION DETAILSJob Summary :
Provides social work services and interventions across the continuum of care.
- Education :
Position requires a Master's in Social Work from an accredited college or university.
- Registration / Certification / Licensure :
Maryland LCSW, LCSW-C or LMSW. (If LMSW, obtain independent practitioner license within 2 years of hire or transfer date.)
- If licensed in a state other than Maryland, eligible to apply or be endorsed for licensure in Maryland.
- Experience :
Two (2) years social work or related experience is preferred. Experience with oncology social work is preferred.
- Other Requirements :
Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications required in accordance with the Staff Education and Training policy GA-057 and / or any other department requirements.
- Effectively communicates with all patient populations and staff by implementing organization-wide communication techniques as a daily practice.
- Effectively advocates for quality patient safety and satisfaction as a daily practice.
- Demonstrated proficiency of computer skills necessary to effectively complete documentation requirements.
- Previous experience and demonstrated professionalism in effectively communicating with customers and in promoting a positive service atmosphere.
- If LMSW, participates in supervision per licensure requirements.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize concurrent projects, meet deadlines, follow through with deliverables, and produce quality work.
