ABOUT FIREFLY AEROSPACE
Firefly Aerospace is a space and defense technology company that enables our world to launch, land, and operate in space - anywhere, anytime. As the partner of choice for critical space missions, Firefly is the only commercial company to launch a satellite to orbit with 24-hour notice and the only company to achieve a successful Moon landing. Our launch vehicles, lunar landers, and orbital vehicles provide government and commercial customers with full mission services from low Earth orbit to the Moon and beyond. Headquartered in north Austin, Texas, Firefly is looking for passionate, hardworking innovators to join our team and help fuel our successful trajectory into space.
SUMMARY
Join the team that just landed on the Moon. Firefly Aerospace is seeking a Mission Operations Engineer to join the team behind the successful lunar landing of Blue Ghost Mission 1. As part of our Flight Operations team, you will contribute to the planning, testing, and execution of real-time spacecraft operations for both the Blue Ghost Lunar Lander and Elytra, our expanding fleet of on-orbit vehicles.
This role is central to mission success spanning ground system integration and day-in-the-life spacecraft sims to live console operations during critical flight phases. You will help define how we fly, working across engineering teams to develop robust, fault-tolerant operations plans that scale from low Earth orbit to the lunar surface and beyond. As Elytra enters service and Blue Ghost prepares for future missions, you'll play a direct role in shaping the future of Firefly's flight operations.
If you're driven by technical excellence, mission ownership, and the opportunity to operate spacecraft that are rewriting what's possible, we want to hear from you.
