About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Duration : 14 weeks

Shift : Night 3x12-Hour

Hours per Shift : 12

Experience : Minimum 2 years recent ICU experience required, with at least 1 year of Level 1 trauma experience in high acuity PCU.

License : Compact or Kentucky State License required at time of submission

Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required

Must-Have :

• Critical thinking skills
• Ability to work with patients who may require rapid response
• Experience in PCU, Med / Surg, and Telemetry

Description :

This position requires a registered nurse with 2 years of recent ICU experience.

Candidates must have 1 year of experience in Level 1 trauma settings within high acuity PCU.

The role may require floating to ICU or other PCU units.

Candidates should possess strong critical thinking skills.

Nurses will be responsible for caring for transitional and progressive care patients.

Responsibilities include central line care and management, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, and telemonitoring.

The nurse must be familiar with phlebotomy skills and IV management.

Candidates will work with an interdisciplinary team, including physical therapy and social services.

Daily patient census is approximately 15, with a patient ratio of 4 : 1.

The nurse will provide care for patients with diverse diagnoses, including stroke patients.

There will be additional compliance requirements for examinations in various medical competencies.

Candidates need to ensure they can fulfill floating requirements within the hospital and to nearby affiliates.

Nurses should have the ability to respond to urgent situations effectively.

Candidates are expected to be flexible with scheduling, including weekend coverage.
