Laundry Assistant

Job Title

Under general supervision, sorts, washes and distributes all incoming soiled linen by classification to facilitate the washing process.

Essential Functions :

• Picks up soiled linen.
• Sorts, washes, dries, folds and delivers all personal clothing and flat linen.
• Brings in all clean linen carts from truck and places in basement.
• Delivers all personal clothing to correct rooms.
• Delivers all clean linen to clean linen closets.
• Picks up all new personal items of residents, labels and then returns to the appropriate resident.
• Adds or deletes next days laundry delivery as needed.
• Cleans all clean linen rooms. Dust, mops, wet mops floors, dusts vents and wipes shelves weekly.
• May be required to drive laundry truck between facilities.
• Actively participates in safety initiatives and risk mitigating measures where appropriate and completes all position and unit safety related competencies and requirements on a timely basis.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Range of Pay : Starts at $15.61 and is based on experience.
