Position : Outreach Specialist

Classification : Full-time, Exempt

Reports to : Outreach Manager

Location : San Antonio, TX

Position Description :

The Outreach Specialist is responsible for creating and maintaining collaboration efforts between DePelchin Children’s Centers program and other community entities.

The Outreach Specialist will provide outreach and marketing for DePelchin programs in the community, offer presentations on a variety of topics, and coordinate with local providers to create formal and informal partnerships.

The position will work internally and externally to promote the Mission, Vision, Philosophy and Values of the organization to staff and the community.

Required Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum one (1) year relevant experience in community outreach / engagement, relationship building, and public speaking required.

Preferred Qualifications :

Bachelors’ degree in related Human Services field.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

• Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent public speaking skills.
• Collaborative influencing style.
• Creative thinker with the ability to develop innovative recruitment ideas and corresponding presentation materials.
• Measurable experience initiating and building professional contact.
• Knowledge of Social Work and Child Welfare Services.
• Proficient computer and Microsoft Office skills.
• Ability to maintain a professional, confidential work environment.
• Ability to work with culturally diverse populations and work force.
• Ability to work flexible hours which vary according to client needs.

Work Conditions :

• Environment : Home-based Office, Varied Community Settings
• Range of Schedule : Mon Fri, 7 : 00 a.m. to 8 : 00 p.m.
• Travel : Occasional, Local
