Job descriptionWorking from 7 : 30 AM to 5 : 00 PM, Monday through Thursday and 7 : 30 AM to 11 : 30 AM, Friday (start your weekend early!) Skillfully removing and reinstalling automatic and manual transmissions Working with drivetrain components like mounts, CV axles, drivelines, and transfer cases Using various tools and hands-on techniques to correctly diagnose the source of transmission issues Performing maintenance services like pan drops, fluid and filter changes, and external inspections Test-driving vehicles to verify customer concerns and confirm repairs Coordinating with builders and service advisors to support an efficient workflow Helping with additional tasks as needed, including cleaning the bay, organizing tools, and moving non-running vehicles in and out of the shop 2+ years of hands-on experience as an R&R technician or a similar role Successful completion of 2+ transmission removals and replacements in the past 2 months Ability to remove / replace a transmission in book time or less Ability to provide and use basic tools Ability to work in a collaborative team environment Strong mechanical knowledge and problem-solving skills Physical ability to lift heavy parts and keep up with a fast-paced environment Valid driver's license and the ability to operate FWD, RWD, AWD, and 4x4 vehicles
