Serco has program management and sustainment contracts supporting the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment (USD (A&S)). Our staff will review, analyze, and assess readiness requirements for the nuclear enterprise, which consists of legacyweapon systems, new acquisitions to replace legacy systems, and the Nuclear Command and Control Systems (NC3). This includes sustainment analysis, understanding and estimating O&S costs, assessing Reliability, Availability and Maintainability (RAM) factors, interfacing with Service program staff, and assisting with program milestone documentation and applicable oversight boards.
Serco will perform analysis and formulate methodologies of product support to include the impact to nuclear lifecycles at the program and enterprise level. Contractor will assist DASD(PS) in analysis of product support and life cycle management decisions related to the acquisition of new weapon systems, sustainment of legacy nuclear weapons, and support of NC3 enterprise.
You will be part of a team responsible for highly consequential engagements with stakeholders impacting national security and the defense capabilities of the United States. You will work closely with customers and other Serco teams to deliver quality solutions, recognized by DoD and industry as outstanding contributions in engineering program and risk management across the Defense enterprise.
In this role, you will :
Support efforts to improve and modernize NC3 technology and architecture to support mission and ensure technology dominance and nuclear deterrence.
Assess sustainment requirements for legacy nuclear weapons, including support costs
Participate in working group meetings
Provide updates to senior government officials
Assist with development of talking points / info papers to senior A&S leadership
Collaborating with various stakeholders across the Services, OSD, and the NC3 community
Develop programmatic and NC3 modernization roadmaps
Qualifications
To be successful in the role, you will have :
An active DoD Top Secret (TS) Clearance with SCI eligibility
A Master's degree
15 years of relevant experience
Knowledge of nuclear weapon systems or DoD nuclear enterprise is highly desired
Expertise in data visual tools (including but not limited to QLIK and Tableau), as well as background in Service Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools is desired
Ability to conduct basic root cause analysis for underperforming NC3 systems
Familiarity with DoD sustainment metrics and the ability to assess and recommend corrective actions to address sustainment shortfalls
Experience with Defense Acquisition, including requirements development, RFP statement of work development, and Industry engagement
Experience leading the planning and execution of complex mission and systems analysis efforts
Strong oral and written communication skills
Experience communicating, interfacing, and interacting with Joint Staff, Services, and warfighters to address weapon system sustainment, including recommendations to improve sustainment
Ability to travel up to 10%.
