Central Scheduling Supervisor
You will report to the head of Compliance. You will be working on the second floor of a medical office. You will have multiple other team members around you. You have six foot walled cubicle so it can be tailored to your style. As a leader, you will have access to meeting rooms for mentoring and coaching. You will keep track of metrics, support team members, handle escalated calls, work with other leaders to change protocols, train new team members, review QA and call handling metrics. You will be responsible for leadership duties approximately 50% of the time in the role. You will be enrolled in the Emerging Leadership and Supervisor training programs, have access to peer leaders and Director support specialists such as Compliance, HR, Patient Experience and Revenue Cycle.
When on the phone, you will be the role model for outstanding service on Mondays, Tuesdays and during peak times of support. You will have conversations with strangers who may be in pain and need help. You will wear a headset, take in calls, gather information accurately and quickly about patients, their history, insurance and situation. You will help match them with either a referred provider or the first available provider for their particular issue. Our patients are hurting, so you are understanding that they may not always be super pleasant, however, they are very grateful. You will work in a place that expects outstanding experiences; we do this by working hard to assume the best and being curious with all around us. You will be naturally curious, friendly and helpful. You can work the hours for this position (Monday-Friday between 7 : 45 AM-5 : 00 PM or assigned shift, because, ultimately, we are all here to help patients.
You must be able to be curious and kind with team members. You are helpful and able to teach others through exploratory learning. You may be on the phone for long periods of time that may seem unnatural. You must have at minimum a high school diploma or GED with three years of increasing responsibility in a call center supervisory experience OR some college and escalating level of leadership with 2 years of customer service. Prior call center supervisory experience preferred. We will train candidates with the skills and passion in DMOS roles, so don't be deterred. If you have a degree in health sciences and want apply your knowledge to administration, this may be a good fit. You have great typing and computer skills. You can think on your feet. You have to be able to use your indoor voice and use confidential information for patient care only. Patient information that gets shared in clinic, stays in clinic.
