Senior Accountant

LHH Recruiting Solutions is looking to fill a Senior Accountant job opportunity for this non-profit organization located in Sacramento, CA. This position is 100% in office! The right candidate should have 5 years of progressive accounting experience and a minimum of 2 years within a non-profit, and supervisory experience playing an integral role managing the day to day financial and accounting operations.

Responsibilities :

• Collaborate with accounting team to complete the month-end closing of balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements
• Reconcile bank statements and oversee the annual close process (month, quarter & year-end)
• Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations and journal entries monthly
• Review, analyze, and reconcile general ledger transactions
• Perform monthly analysis (revenue, expenditures, program cost metrics & ad hoc)
• Participate in in the development of organizations financial plans and strategies
• Assist with the coordination of the annual external audit
• Assist in streamlining and making processes more efficient and being involved in financial systems decisions
• Assist on projects as assigned

Qualifications :

Experience : 5 years of experience as an Accountant (Senior Accountant, Senior Staff Accountant, Small Company Accounting Manager / Controller)
