Desktop Support Technician
Location : San Diego, CA (Downtown)
Schedule : Hybrid – 3 days onsite, 2 days remote (after 90-day training period)
Compensation : $67,000 – $73,000 + benefits
Overview
A leading law firm is seeking a Desktop Support Technician for its downtown San Diego office. This position is an integral part of the Information Services (IS) team, providing both deskside and virtual technical support. The role serves as the first point of contact for end-user troubleshooting, supporting desktops, laptops, printers, conference room systems, and software applications. Law firm experience is strongly preferred, as this role requires working in a fast-paced, professional services environment where discretion, responsiveness, and reliability are essential.
Responsibilities
- Provide first-line deskside and remote technical support for hardware and software.
- Troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and conference room technology.
- Support Windows, Mac OS, Android, and iOS systems.
- Maintain and troubleshoot meeting platforms (Zoom, Teams, Webex).
- Assist with Microsoft Office Suite, Active Directory, and Office 365 administration.
- Support basic networking functions (TCP / IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Document issues, escalate complex problems, and follow through to resolution.
- Collaborate with the IS team to improve processes and enhance user satisfaction.
Qualifications
3+ years of IT support experience; prior law firm or professional services experience strongly preferred.Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (preferred).Relevant certifications (CompTIA A+, MCP, ACSP) are a plus.Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Office 365 administration.Familiarity with Windows, Mac OS, Android, and iOS systems.Experience supporting AV / meeting technology (Zoom, Teams, Webex).Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Benefits
