This position involves both clinical and administrative duties to support our five providers and ensure the highest level of foot health for our patients. You'll work closely with two other MAs, two Medical Receptionists, and the Site Facilitator in a fast-paced environment.
Job Summary
As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for providing patient support and communication and facilitating an exceptional patient experience to build and reinforce satisfaction, trust, and drive organizational loyalty. Accountable for welcoming and preparing the patient for their appointment, the Medical Assistant informs patients of relevant and required information for their visit and provides clear communication around the services they are scheduled to receive
Responsibilities / Job Duties
- Performs sutures & staples , changing of wound dressings , and other patient care activities including assisting with x-rays and performing on and off castings .
- Collects and documents vitals and med history .
- Authorizes prescription refills as directed.
- Prepares patients, room, and supplies for visits or examinations.
- Performs administrative duties including charting, putting in orders , requesting of medical records , and performing prior authorizations (navigating online insurance portals).
- Cleans and maintains treatment rooms and equipment.
- Expected to room 15-20 patients / day .
- Other duties as assigned.
Education
MA certification / diploma is a bonus.High School Diploma / Equivalency required.Qualifications
6 months experience minimum working within an EMR system and with the process of rooming patients required.Current BLS certification for healthcare providers preferred; required within 90 days of employment (Will accept BLS from any association).Experience in primary care, family practice, internal medicine, urgent care or ER preferred.Schedule / Shift

Tues : 8 : 00 AM - 5 : 30 PM
Weds : 9 : 00 AM - 4 : 00 PM
Thurs : 9 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM
Fri : 7 : 45 AM - 4 : 00 PM
Schedule can have some wiggle room / flexibility if needed.
