Key Responsibilities :

This person will be a boots-on-the-ground professional who thoroughly understands underground wet utilities and its relationship to Cal / OSHA and other safety standards.

Field Safety Oversight :

• Promote a culture of safety.
• Walk the job. Observe the operation. Understand the job before critiquing it.
• Evaluate trenching, shoring, sloping, and pipe installation operations in real-time for compliance, hazards, and opportunities to improve.
• Bridge the gap between written safety plans and field execution.
• Enforce and review Foreman completion of paperwork; Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), Confined Space Entry, Excavation & Soils Analysis, Daily Trenching Logs.
• Site inspection of Foreman – Project binder, current Excavation Permit, current USA tickets, Company Safety Handbook, Company IIPP & Code of Safe Practices.
