Washington Licensed Assistant Medical Director

A company is looking for an Assistant Medical Director (Oncologist).

Key Responsibilities

Support clinical review activities and make final coverage decisions based on medical necessity

Utilize clinical expertise for claims review decisions and consult with nursing staff on care options

Participate in the development and approval of medical review criteria and provide ongoing education for clinicians

Required Qualifications

Physicians license with an MD or DO degree

Current board certification in Medical Oncology preferred

Unrestricted Washington state licensure or ability to obtain within 90 days

Five years of clinical experience

Previous experience with medical necessity and clinical reviews in a health plan setting preferred
