Position Summary :
The Logistics Manager oversees the end-to-end movement, distribution, and storage of goods within the companys supply chain. This role ensures products are delivered accurately, efficiently, and cost-effectively, while maintaining compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
Primary Responsibilities :
Plan, coordinate, and manage logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and order fulfillment.Develop and implement strategies to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve delivery performance.Oversee the selection and management of carriers, freight forwarders, and logistics services providers.Maintain compliance with local, national, and international regulations related to shipping, customs, and safety.Implement and maintain logistics systems (e.g., WMS, TMS, ERP) to enhance visibility and control.Provide hands-on leadership and direction to warehouse, logistics, and parts teams, ensuring efficient operations, cross-functional coordination, and high performance.Manage and mentor logistics staff, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and excellence.Secondary Responsibilities :
Prepare budgets, forecasts, and reports on logistics performance and costsSupport cross-departmental communication with HQ and internal teamsPerform other duties as assigned by management to support success within the Logistics Department.Position Requirements :
5+ years of experience in logistics or supply chain (Experience with large industrial machinery is a plus)Bachelors degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field strongly preferred; equivalent education and relevant experience will also be considered.5+ years of leadership experience overseeing warehouse, logistics, and parts operations, with a strong focus on team management, cross-department coordination, and process development; strongly desired.Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to work under pressure and manage multiple prioritiesAdvanced knowledge of international trade, customs regulations, and transportations lawsStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsHighly organized and detail oriented.This role is based at the Geneva facility, with up to 10% travel to other locations as required.
