Accountant / Auditor

1) The Contractor(s) must understand generally accepted accounting principles for governmental accounting, including having a thorough knowledge and understanding of GASB and / or FASB standards and statements. Additionally, the Contractor must be proficient in using Oracle ERP accounting systems, Excel, and other current technology. A knowledge of MUNIS, Crystal Reports, and BI tools is strongly preferred.

2) Duties may include, but are not limited to : preparing analyses of reports and making recommendations regarding the analyses; performing analysis of assigned funds / sub-funds; performing complex reconciliations of various Oracle General ledger accounts; and preparing supporting work papers for adjusting journal entries.

3) Contract staff will work side-by-side with County staff to facilitate knowledge transfer.

4) Contract staff will report directly to the Treasury Accounting Supervisor in the Department of Finance, Division of Treasury.
