Matic is bringing families out of the stone age of remarkably dumb disc home robots. Humanity spends approximately $25 trillion annually on home chores, wasting around 2.5 trillion hours. We are on a mission to recapture this time and value with fully autonomous, useful, elegant, and affordable Wall-E-esque home robots that families love and cannot imagine their lives without.

Privacy First

Our robots are designed with privacy in mind, with all computations performed on the edge device. We believe families shouldn't have to compromise their privacy to get help with household chores.

Our Approach

In 2017, we observed over 200 startups in self-driving cars and industrial robotics, but the home autonomy and robotics space was largely overlooked. Despite AI becoming more widespread, families still spend dozens of hours weekly on repetitive chores.

At Matic, we leverage advanced technology to tackle this issue. We began with fully autonomous floor-cleaning robots. Just as consumers adopted cell phones, PDAs, iPods, and Blackberries before the iPhone revolutionized mobile communication, we believe consumers will first adopt single-purpose, elegant, and affordable robots that become part of their homes before developing multi-task robots.

Our goal is to automate other household tasks, shipping useful, affordable, privacy-first robots that solve real problems and evolve towards more complex capabilities over time.

Who We Are

We are a consumer robotics company focused on solving real customer problems. We start with a problem, design elegant robotic solutions, and conduct research to build products that just work. We believe that families want practical solutions, and AI and robotics enable us to provide them.

Who We Are NOT

We are not a robotics foundation model research lab, a humanoid robot builder, or a robotics software platform company. Our focus is on building fully autonomous, useful, elegant, and affordable Wall-E-esque robots loved by kids, pets, and families.
